SAN JOSE — TurboTax launched a new feature today called “Tax Season Wrapped.” It turns your financial stress into a colorful slideshow. The app uses bright colors and upbeat music to show users exactly how much money they owe the government.

The update mimics the popular Spotify feature. But instead of top songs, it highlights top anxieties. “We saw how much people love sharing their music data,” said Diego Cohen, VP of Customer Delight. “We thought users would feel the same joy seeing their top deductions. The slide for ‘Missed Write-offs’ is set to a very fun pop song. It really softens the blow of the audit risk warning.”

Other workplace tools are rushing to copy the trend. Slack announced “Slack Rewind” this morning. It highlights your work habits from the past year. It shows users exactly how many hours they spent in meetings that could have been emails. It also awards digital badges for answering messages after 8 PM.

“It is about celebrating engagement,” explained Mei Jensen, Head of Digital Connection at Slack. “Our data shows you typed ‘circle back’ 412 times this year. That is a top 1% performance. We created a shareable graphic so you can post that achievement to LinkedIn. We think your network will be very impressed by your lack of boundaries.”

At press time, Zoom released a recap video. It is just a 40-minute compilation of you forgetting to unmute yourself.
