LOUISIANA BAYOU, La. — The Miller family is currently standing waist-deep in murky green water, holding their rolling luggage above their heads to keep it dry. They are waiting for check-in instructions in the middle of a dense swamp because the AI interpreted the dad’s request for an "immersive nature experience" too literally. The dad is still holding his phone, which currently displays a "Match Score: 99%."

"This level of accuracy is unprecedented," said Brian Chesky, CEO of Airbnb. "We are building an AI-native experience to help guests book trips efficiently." He noted that the company is currently testing the AI search tool with a small percentage of users, many of whom are now discovering that "rustic" means "structurally unsound" to a computer. "The AI saw ‘nature’ and provided ‘mud.’ That is a success."

"Humans often lie about what they want, but the algorithm is honest," explained Marcus Thorne, VP of Radical Authenticity. "If a user types ‘historic charm,’ the AI now books them into a damp cave from 4000 B.C. with no electricity." Thorne watched a live video feed of the Millers swatting at flies and nodded, noting that their engagement with the environment was up 400% compared to a hotel stay.

At press time, the AI automatically charged the Miller family an extra $200 cleaning fee after a frog jumped into Mrs. Miller’s purse.
