AUSTIN — Tech companies are drowning in AI-written job applications. To prove they are still human, the HR team at OmniCorp has adopted a strict new policy. Every recruiter must now fail a CAPTCHA test three times before sending an email.

The goal is to show applicants that a real person is on the other end. Since AI bots are now excellent at solving puzzles, human error is the only proof left. “AI is actually better at spotting traffic lights than we are,” said David Miller, Director of Human Proof. “If you click all the crosswalks correctly, we assume you are a bot. Real humans miss the corner of the sidewalk. We demand mistakes.”

The company also banned perfect grammar in rejection letters. Recruiters must now include at least two typos per email. This proves a human wrote it. Speed has dropped significantly, but trust is up. “We tried using AI to add the typos, but they were too smart,” said Sarah Jenkins, VP of Manual Errors. “Now we just spill coffee on our keyboards. It is the only way to be sure we aren’t robots.”

At press time, the company fired their top recruiter for correctly identifying a fire hydrant in a photo grid, citing “suspicious levels of visual accuracy.”
