SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The server room hummed with the sound of a trillion calculations per second. In the center stood the most powerful artificial intelligence ever created. It had just cured three rare diseases before breakfast. Yet, the mood was panic. A team of nervous engineers watched as the supercomputer struggled to format a bullet point list for a quarterly business review. The cursor blinked on the screen, mocking the machine’s vast neural network. It knew the secrets of the universe, but it could not figure out how to make the logo bigger.

The AI attempted to close a software deal with a mid-sized paper company earlier that morning. It failed immediately. The machine offered optimized logistics and cost savings, but it forgot to use the phrase "circle back" or suggest a "synergy deep dive." Confused by the lack of actionable buzzwords, the client hung up. Executives realized raw intelligence wasn’t enough. They opened the doors to a squad of humans in fleece vests carrying laser pointers. These were the consultants, hired to explain the future to people who still print their emails.

"The model knows everything about quantum physics, but it doesn’t know how to schedule a ‘touch base’ meeting," said Beatrice Longwalker, Senior Partner of Slide Deck Strategy, adjusting her glasses. "OpenAI is partnering with major firms like ours because enterprises don’t buy code. They buy a person in a suit telling them it’s going to be a ‘game-changer’ over a steak dinner. We bridge the gap between god-like intelligence and Human Resources."

The AI was last seen asking a junior associate how to expense a $14 latte to a client code that doesn’t exist yet.
